Old Globe Tree

On Monday, April 7 2008. A 73 year old tree which stood at the center the Old Globe Plaza in Balboa Park was brought down piece by piece. The official statement made by the City of San Diego indicated that the reason for the decision to remove the tree was due to safety reason.
